Karin Knipper, Artist,, Designer and Teacher A combined photographic exhibition by Karin and Stella. Stella started to photograph these little people in the gardens of Germany. So I tagged along and we are now sharing them with the Maleny Community. The exhibit is held in the Maleny Credit Union in the month of December 2008. We hope that you like them as much as we do. German born, Karin has been in Australia since 1981. Mostly an artist at heart she has done many projects such as community arts in Brisbane, fashion, wardrobe for films in Sydney, painting, writing, house design, pottery, music and dance. “Now I have finally found my calling in making Jewelery. I could have listened to my grandmother early on in my life and started pursuing jewelery making from an early age, but I guess I had to find out for myself.” Karin is now doing mostly jewelery and has formed a business called “The Tribal Edge” in 1997 in Maleny. Here, her unique designer ability has created some stunning pieces of Jewelery. Since about 8 years Karin has been running a stall at the Maleny markets every Sunday 9am-2pm in the local community hall. The response from the local and international community is truly great. I am still enthusiastic about community arts projects and am available for workshops. Watch this space for new art in writing, painting and pottery. Contact Artist |
