Artist at Peace of Green Artist’s Collaborative Gallery Children’s Art Teacher My approach to painting is similar to that of the Romanticist painter’s of the 1800’s. I paint landscapes subjectively using emotional colour and expressive brushwork. Working initially from photographic images of my local area, I look for unique lighting, shadow shapes or moods at different times of the day. I try to capture the whimsical and ethereal essence of my subject. Working mostly with oil and impasto I also enjoy mixed media with collage and stitching. Contact Artist |
